Unsung Hero Writing Task & Graffiti Wall

Who is your Unsung Hero? Throughout history, people have changed the world seeking neither reward nor recognition. We call these people Unsung Heroes. Today, we are going to honor out Unsung Heroes. Think of someone who has profoundly touched your life – your personal hero. Your Unsung Hero may or may not be relate to you, but the person cannot be famous.

Who is your Unsung Hero? Step 1: Brainstorm and complete the “Constructing Support” Graphic Organizer Who is it? What 3 reasons make this person an unsung hero? What details or examples support those reasons?

Who is your Unsung Hero? Step 2: Write an essay describing your Unsung Hero. What heroic characteristics does this person demonstrate and how has she or he had an impact on your life? Complete this on loose-leaf paper.

Who is your Unsung Hero? Step 3: Create a “Graffiti Wall” On a piece of construction paper or computer paper, design a colorful display of words, images, and symbols that describe your Unsung Hero. Be creative and have fun!
