Examination outcomes Outcome (1) Ministers dont expect reporters to have to recommend wholesale changes If deficiencies identified, but has information or enough time to obtain it, reporter to recommend appropriate modifications Outcome (2) If serious policy omission/deficiency (e.g. inconsistent with NPF/SPP) cant be resolved through examination – reporter to highlight deficiency in report Recommendations made to remedy – e.g. early review of plan or produce supplementary guidance
