What are Physical features? Naturally created features of earth: mountains, rivers, waterfalls, lakes, deserts, plains, oceans
How are mountains formed? When the earth’s plates crash together and the crust is forced upward. Takes millions of years!

Delta A land form that is formed at the mouth of a river that splits up into several streams.
deserts areas that do not get much rain and is hard for plants and animals to survive.
lakes A large bodies of fresh water surrounded by land.
Plains Large areas of flat land with few trees. They can cover thousands of miles.
oceans A large bodies of salt water that covers most of the earth’s surface.
