Power distance index and Masculinity and Femininity This scene shows the conversation between Anna and the king. Here Anna becomes surprise because the retinue called her sir. And when she asked him why he replies that the Women in Siam do not stand in front of the president. We can conclude that in Siam the culture is different to the UK. Because in Thailand they have clear Gender roles – they are a high context culture (Trinder, Intercultural Studies, 8 September 2015) Because they are high a lot of confidential information and High ego oriented in men (2001), Culture’s Consequences, 2nd ed. p 297.

Indulgence versus restraint (IND) Power Distance This picture shows us what happened with Anna when she went to talk with the king. The soldiers rises there sword in front of Anna and her son. This is because she did not listen to the advice that the retinue give her that she has to wait for the next day if the king till other day if you want to meet the King. But she did not understand the protocol. Finally , the king was kind and forgave her. Low Informal . Low Rules and regulations

After the king son and Anna son fight , Anna son apology to the teacher ( his mother ). This cause the king son to be angry because in their culture the men never apologize to women. Otherwise in British they teach their children to apologize for their mistakes. There is difference between Siam and British in term of culture.Because in Saim they have low Short term relationships . PD and MAS

IND COLLECTIVISM IND/RES people should not treated like slaves a women chained up other women for 6 weeks and treated her like animal because she wanted her freedom she got accused by gratitude, they consider this as a normal thing and people should not say anything about it and try to help Annie tried to free her up by giving away her marriage ring then the women who had the slave got angry and upset. It’s a normal punishment to make the person who make a mistake chained up like an animal High Strong sense of respect and honor. IND COLLECTIVISM IND/RES
