Targeting an audience through advertising

A magazine advertisement shows what kind of magazine it is and who it is form. Look at the following advertisements and think about… Who is the target audience? - interests? - age? - gender? - socio economic position? - values?

Look at the following advertisements and think about… Which features indicate its target audience? - What colours are most often used? What mood do they suggest? - What is the main visual usually depicting? - What mood do people convey? - What type of camera shot is generally used? (Close up, medium shot, long shot?) - Who is the person in the main photo looking at?
