RAIN FOREST By Luke Rowe

World location They can be found along the Pacific coast in North America from Alaska to Oregon. Also in Chile, United Kingdom, Norway, Japan, New Zealand, and South Australia.

Climate The climate in the rainforest is wet. It rains 60 to 200 inches of rain a year. It has long winters and short drier summers. The temperature is mild.

Plants The rainforest plants are mosses that are leaf shapes ferns that grow without sunlight and orchids that live on the surface of other plants.

Animals Rainforests have monkeys that live in trees, they have birds that eat fruit off of trees, and insects that like to live in hot weather. You can also find cougars in the rainforest and they camouflage themselves to hunt their prey.

Environment factors Humans are the main cause of rainforest destruction. Humans are cutting down rainforests for many reasons, including: -wood for making fires -land for poor farmers who don't have anywhere else to live -grazing land for cattle -road construction LOGGING AND TIMBER HARVESTING IN THE RAINFOREST
