1.2 Points, lines, and planes -Point: a location represented by a small dot -Line: a series of points than extend in opposite direction without end(points lying on the same line are collinear) -Geometric Figure: a set of points -Plane: a flat surface that extends without end in the direction of the lines and points it may contain (points and lines in the same plane are coplanar)

1.3 Measuring Segments -Congruent Segments: segments of the same length are congruent (≅) **Postulate 1.6: If 3 points A, B, C are collinear, and B is between A and C, then AB + BC = AC -Midpoint: a point that divides a segment into 2 congruent segments
