Third Grade Mrs. Johnson’s Nov. 14-18, 2016 What We’re Learning Important Dates Reading: I can use reading strategies such as cause and effect, compare and contrast, and sequencing to help me understand expository text. Math: I can measure and estimate liquid volumes and masses of objects using metric units (grams, kilograms, liters, mililiters. I can solve measurement word problems. November 14-18● Mrs. Johnson’s class is collecting items for Operation Christmas Child November 18 ● Early Release! November 18 ● Homework Due! Weekly Homework: Reading ● Word Work ● Math Fact Practice ● Handwriting or Letter to Teacher A Message From Mrs. Johnson This week, our class will continue collecting items for Operation Christmas Child. This is a good opportunity for the students to show service and kindness to another child this upcoming holiday season. I sent home information last week. Hopefully your family would like to participate! (This is optional, so you do not have to.) Have a great week!
