Win Madigan - Western English Language School - 2007 30. or Win Madigan - Western English Language School - 2007

Win Madigan - Western English Language School - 2007 Australia needs people to work in all 30 jobs you have looked at and MANY MORE JOBS TOO. Win Madigan - Western English Language School - 2007

Win Madigan - Western English Language School - 2007 When you are thinking about your FUTURE you need to have a 1 PLAN. Plan Win Madigan - Western English Language School - 2007

If you want to be a NURSE (or follow any other career) 2. for example If you want to be a NURSE (or follow any other career) You MUST think about your ENGLISH. 2. English If your English is not good, it is very difficult to succeed at Secondary School, TAFE or University. It is also difficult to communicate in many other ways too. Therefore, you should always think ENGLISH, ENGLISH, ENGLISH before you start studying for any career. Win Madigan - Western English Language School - 2007

YOUR PLAN. Next, find a suitable COURSE. It is NOT good to think:- I must go to High School I must study VCE I must go to University You should take the course which helps you SUCCEED with YOUR PLAN. Win Madigan - Western English Language School - 2007

OK, let’s think again about being a NURSE. After your English has improved, what can you do? There are TWO main paths you can take to become a NURSE. Part of your plan must be to think about which course or path is better for YOU. 3 OR Best Course This path/ Course? This path/ Course? Win Madigan - Western English Language School - 2007

Path 1. Qualify as a REGISTERED NURSE, Division 1. Start Nursing Degree at University and study full-time for 3 years. Expensive and Intensive Finish Year 12, VCE with a Tertiary Enter Score of 85 or more (not easy!) Study VCE in a Secondary School or at TAFE Path 1. Win Madigan - Western English Language School - 2007

Path 2. Study to become a DIVISION 1 REGISTERED NURSE Study for Division 2 Enrolled Nurse at TAFE Complete Certificate 3 or 4 in Aged Care or Home and Community Care at TAFE – This will take about 1 year Complete Certificate 4 in English at TAFE Study English Language at Language School, AMES, Secondary School or TAFE Path 2. Win Madigan - Western English Language School - 2007

Win Madigan - Western English Language School - 2007 With Path 2 You can work for a while if you want to after completing some certificates and return to TAFE later to do more certificates or diplomas. There is also the opportunity for you to transfer over to a University Degree later on if you want to do a nursing degree. TAFE UNIVERSITY Win Madigan - Western English Language School - 2007

Think about which job Australia has to offer which is best for YOU. There is more than one way to become successful in each of the 26 jobs we have looked at. Think about which job Australia has to offer which is best for YOU. Have a PLAN about what is the best way to succeed in getting the job that you want. And remember, the main skill you need is Win Madigan - Western English Language School - 2007

Win Madigan - Western English Language School - 2007

Think about the different paths you can follow and then:- Decide on the path that is best for YOU. Win Madigan - Western English Language School - 2007

Think about what is best for YOU. And remember:- What is good for you may be different from what is good for your friends. What is good for you may be different from what other members of your family have done. and What is good for you may be different from what members of your community think you should do. Therefore 4. Think about what is best for YOU. When you are planning, remember that your path may be DIFFERENT from the path other people follow. Win Madigan - Western English Language School - 2007

Win Madigan - Western English Language School - 2007 To summarise 1. To succeed in getting a job and being successful, you need to have a PLAN. 2 To be successful in Australia you need ENGLISH, ENGLISH, ENGLISH !!! 3 Think seriously and sensibly about which COURSE or PATHWAY is best for you. 4 Remember that what is best for you may be very different from what is best for other people that you know. Win Madigan - Western English Language School - 2007

GOOD LUCK !!! and Get advice and help from where you are studying now. from others who understand our education system and can help you and GOOD LUCK !!! Win Madigan - Western English Language School - 2007
