Recommendations for Success Focus on doing your best to achieve in all class Stay organized Meet with teachers during office hours after school Learn how to best manage your time Speak with your teacher and/or meet with your counselor if significant concerns arise Form positive relationships with your teachers and counselor Consider and pursue ways to get involved in extracurricular activities

Utility Block Fifty minute period meets once each week on Thursdays Time may be utilized to access teachers and counselors Opportunity for the guidance department to implement new initiatives

Course Selection – Grade 10 Course selection communication and individual meetings will take place Feb/March Key thoughts Strongly consider teacher recommendations and overall course load What courses will allow your student to continue to build a solid foundation of skills and maintain good grades
