Prop-50 IP Address Transfers Prop-50 –version 4 – March 2009 APNIC EC has referred this back to the Policy SIG: EC noted no clear consensus in favour of the policy, and noted concerns relating to adequate safeguards against potential abuse Mailing List Discussion June – August 2009 59 posts on this proposal section 4 re-drafted on the list in the light of community suggestions and comments no outstanding objections on the mailing list

Prop-50 version 5 Detail added to section 4 to provide additional safeguards against potential abuse of transfers, based on community input on the mailing list Record all transfers in a public record Prior to APNIC unallocated pool exhaustion: eligibility criteria for transfers further assignments under exceptional circumstances only, with reporting of activity

Prop-50 version 5 This version of the proposal appears to represent the general consensus of the participants on the APNIC Policy SIG mailing list We have added safeguards to address EC’s noted concerns Thank you to all those who contributed their views and suggestions – we trust that this proposal now reflects the general intent of the community
