Year 10 Subject Selection – VP Literacy (110LI1)

Course Description The Year 10 Literacy course is designed to support students in applied learning who need additional time and assistance to strengthen and refine their literacy skills. This area of study focuses on developing learning strategies and workplace skills. Communication skills are developed through students' comprehension and their ability to compose and respond to oral and written texts.

Why Study this? Work Tasks Assessment tasks Regular language skills exercises Text studies Creative Writing Oral Presentations Analysis tasks Essay writing Grammar and Spelling: A variety of written activities including work based exercises. Text Response: Covering a range of media, visual and written text. Oral Presentation: Formal and class discussions

Subject pathway…. VP Literacy helps students refine their English skills with a focus on workplace related activities. Completion of VP Literacy keeps the option of VCE or VCAL open.
