Do Now Pick out a colored pencil/crayon from the boxes at the front of the room. Rip out pages 242-248 (activity 16.2) in your Spring Board Book, staple the pages together, put the notes under your desk and answer the following: Rental car company A charges $15 a day plus $0.05 per mile to rent a car. Rental car company B charges $10 plus $0.10 per mile to rent a car. How many miles will have to be driven for the cost to be the same for both companies? What will the cost be? You will have 25 minutes to finish your test!

Finish your test… When done, start looking though your spring board notes and completing the answers. You can listen to music while you do this, BUT when everyone finishes, the music needs to be turned off! Use the “My Notes” section as graph paper when graphing the
