How are ocean zones and organisms classified? The three ocean zones are: Intertidal, neritic, open-ocean

Organisms are grouped according to where they live and how they move

Plankton float near the surface carried by waves and currents

Nekton move through the water column free swimming animals

Benthos Live on the ocean floor some move place to place and others stay in one location
