JCHF 2013;1:149-155 Proportion of Risk Factors Predicting Appropriate ICD Therapy The proportion of patients who experienced at least 1 appropriate implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) event was significantly greater in the subgroup with 2 or more risk factors for sudden cardiac death (SCD)/indication for ICD compared to the subgroup with 1 risk factor/indication (43% vs. 22%; p = 0.027).
