Keep your dear teacher HAPPY. 1. Be in seat when tardy bell rings. 2. Before you act, think about the consequences. 3. Do not use electronic devices in class without teacher permission. 4. Use restroom during passing breaks. 5. Keep your eyes on the target. 6. Bring all of your supplies to class daily. 7. Complete all of your work and turn it in on time. 8. No food or drink in class. 25% Expectations 10% 40% 25% 20% Assessments Classwork/Participation homework Projects Consequences Class Dojo: Students will receive dojo points daily for being on time, participating and etc. as an incentive. Class progress reports will be sent home bi weekly. Parents and students are strongly encouraged to check the Student/Parent Portal on a weekly basis to view the most current grades for EVERY class. Summative work of class represents 50% of grade and Formative work represents 50% of grade. Procedures 1. Warning: the teacher provides a verbal reprimand/reminder to student. 2. Lunch Detention: short time spent during lunch to reflect on decisions made. 3. Parent Contact: a note recorded for poor conduct. Parent will be contacted. 4. Referral to Administration: a student will be immediately referred to administration for severe behavior problems.
Mrs. Redfearn Technology Homework Plagiarism Cheating ECM & AFM Mrs. Redfearn 2018-2019 Late / Incomplete Work Absentee Policy 2016-2017 * YES, WE DID SOMETHING IMPORTANT WHILE YOU WERE ABSENT. * It is the student’s responsibility to check the class webpage, Edmodo and remind posts to find any assignments missed. As well as the make up work binder upon their return to class. * A student has two extra days to turn in any work assigned on a day a student was absent. If a QUIZ was administered on a day a student was absent, the QUIZ must be made up on the first day the student returns. If previously assigned work was due on the day of the absence, the work is due on the first day the student returns. * My expectation is that ALL assignments be completed to a level of proficiency (70% or higher) and turned in on time. If an assignment is turned in but proficiency is not demonstrated, students will receive the grade given and a conference with the teacher to discuss any issues. * Parents will be contacted if need be regarding grades for Late and missing assignments. Students must complete a late assignment slip for every late assignment. * Printer and Internet issues are not an excuse for late work. If computer or internet is required. Technology Some class work will be done in computer labs when available. Also some class assignments may call for the use of a mobile device; this is the only time your mobile device should be seen out during class. If the device is seen at anytime other than when used for class students will have 50pts deducted from there participation grade and 10pts every time after the initial deduction if seen again. students are expected to abide by all school and district digital safety rules and guidelines. Failure to do so will result in said student being banned from technology use while in Mathematics. Homework Homework will be given nightly and students are expected to completed and turn in homework on time. Students can sign up for remind.com using class code for reminders of nightly homework. Parents are encouraged to sign up for remind updates as well and encourage students to focus when doing homework. Missing homework slips need to be filled out and turned in daily if students forgets homework. Plagiarism Cheating Plagiarism is the taking ideas and writings of another and passing them off as one’s own. In this class, plagiarism includes... 1. turning in another’s work as one’s own 2. copying work from a friend before class (or while in another class) 3. including a source but failing to cite it (when doing projects) 4. copying an author’s exact words and passing them off as one’s own (when doing projects) Students caught plagiarizing will be given a ZERO for the assignment and parent contact. * The teacher will contact parents if cheating / plagiarism is suspected. * The student will be given a zero for that particular test or assignment. * The student will receive an I cheated slip attached and will have to have the parent sign.
