Component B (40%) 1. Class participation: 10% a. Language production: Active and accurate participation at the level required. b. Classroom rules observance: No use of cellphones Punctuality Bring materials No Spanish use Cooperative and proactive attitude

Component B ( 40%) 2. UNIT TESTS 50% 1 unit test every 2 units (1-2 and 3-4) Cannot be taken in advance or late only on the established date. Unjustified absence: the grade will be 1.0/10 In case of justified absence: Present a validated written justification within 3 days to the English coordinator (Verónica Nolivos) If it has been accepted the grade of previous/ following unit test will be doubled. This process can only be done once in a semester.

Component B ( 40%) 3. LMS 5% Workbook https://www.cambridgelms.org/main Pay attention to the due date. Touchstone New Editions (Levels 100-400) must be bought. (Aprox. Mid-March)

Component B ( 40%) 4. HOMEWORK AND QUIZZES 10% Go to google classroom through http://www2.udla.edu.ec/udlapresencial or your work will not be registered. Homework will be announced in the google classroom and students have to upload all homework to the google classroom. GRADED: Writing (1 per progreso), grammar activities. UNGRADED: Worksheets, book activities, lesson D - reading exercises and/or controls. Quizzes

Component B ( 40%) 5. REVIEWS 10% http://www2.udla.edu.ec/udlapresencial Pay attention to the due dates given by the teacher. Platform closes before each Progreso Exam. Each progreso has 2 reviews (Units 1-2 and 3-4) They are graded. The student can repeat them as many times as they want. However, each attempt is graded and averaged.

Component B ( 40%) 6. VIDEO “MY PERSONAL PROJECT” 15% http://www2.udla.edu.ec/udlapresencial , then go to google classroom Pay attention to the due dates given by the teacher to upload your video on to your google classroom. Each progreso has 1 video Project explained in the google classroom.
