ISTD Classical Ballet, Modern Theatre, Tap & National Dance Cheer Leading, Street Dance, Musical Theatre, Melody Bear and Dixie D Pre School Classes All Levels from Pre School to Professional Dancer School Principle Miss Rachel A Dixon A.I.S.T.D (dip) A.I.D.T.A School Office 64 Wildacres, Wollaston, West Midlands, DY8 3PH Office Studio Web Site: School Rules and Regulations Payments All fees are payable on a half term basis on the first lesson of each half term. Fees received after the first lesson of the half term will be charged a late penalty fee of 10%. If a cheque is returned by the bank unpaid for whatever reason, replacement payment must be made in cash and include any resultant bank charges. Fees are none refundable in the event of absence. Payment will be accepted by cash or cheque. All cheques should be made payable to R Dixon. The students name, cheque guarantee card number, and expiry date must be written on the reverse of all cheques. Should a student wish to discontinue with a class then 1 months written notice or fees in lieu is required. Non-attendance of class does not constitute notice of withdrawal. Examination fees, uniform, show costumes and performance tickets are extra and not included in class fees. Examinations All students will be considered for examinations. However this does depend on good attendance and ability. The Principle can withdraw pupils from taking an examination at any time and for whatever reason. Examinations are taken with the ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing). Extra Practices will be required prior to all examinations. Students must have the full correct ISTD examination uniform, which should be clean and undamaged. No underwear (knickers), jewellery or nail varnish can be seen during exams. Miscellaneous It is important that all pupils complete and return their registration form, all changes to personal details must be notified to the school in writing. Teachers hold current CRB certificates. The Principle holds a current first aid certificate. The Rachel Dixon School of Dance will only be responsible for students during class times. Please remember that we are guests at our class venues and we are expected to behave in a courteous and considerate manner at all times. For the first few classes casual, comfortable clothes and bare feet are acceptable. Students are expected to have full uniform within 2 months. No jewellery to be worn to any Class. A Dance School Sweatshirt/T-Shirt/Vest may be worn when warming up. Hair must be neatly tied off the face for all classes & in a bun for all Ballet Classes, Previous Show Leotards are allowed to be worn during class. Dance School Shop The uniform may be purchased through the Dance School Shop and you will find the prices are usually lower than other shop prices. Ask to see the current price list. Payment must be made when ordering items, by cash or Cheque (made payable to R Dixon). No items can be worn (except for trying on) or taken away until they have been paid for. When purchasing uniform from the school shop, please ensure they fit correctly before wearing the items for class. Exchanges can only be made where an item is completely unworn, undamaged and in its original undamaged packaging. If a student can not attend a class for any reason notice must be made to the principle prior to the start of class. If a student continually misses classes they will be withdrawn from that class and will jeopardise their eligibility to take examinations and take part in Performances. Students not suitably dressed will not be allowed to participate in any class. Students arriving late to class will not be allowed to participate because of the risk of injury. Parents of pre school children are required to stay on the premises at all times. Parents of older children are not allowed in the studio during class. Parents are welcome to watch the last class of each term (Christmas, Easter & Summer)
