WHO WERE THE DISCIPLES - In there day, followers were to attach themselves to their master. - Were followers who followed the in the footsteps of a peripatetic Rabbi - They were also responsible for gathering provisions and would leave Jesus in order to collect the provisions needed. Example: Jesus entering Sychar in Samaria where He meets the woman at the well. Latter on in John 4: 27 they return, and Jesus informs them that He already ate food they were not aware of.
