Type the name of the person here Type your name, form and date here PRELIMINARY Keep all visuals simple: spotlight major points only. Build bullet points using short phrases. Avoid using numbered lists unless the numbers provide significant information. If you don’t like the looks of this template, you can change it at any point. Formato estilo de la diapositiva  aplicar a todas las diapositivas Tips for Using Slides Show a slide, allow the audience to read it, then paraphrase it. Do NOT read from a slide. Rehearse by practicing talking to an audience, not to the slides. Always bear in mind the effect that your speech combined with the slide show will have on your audience. Reduce the amount of text to a minimum unless it is a quote Introduce yourself to your audience if necessary EXPLAIN WHY YOUR TOPIC IS IMPORTANT OR INTERESTING (this will give the audience a good reason for listening)

Introduction Basic facts Qualities / peculiarities Main works / achievements What if … hadn’t lived? Inform about your main subtopics. You can use a bullet list like the one on this slide or a diagram. Anyway, you must cover these three main areas

Basic facts Add as many slides as necessary to illustrate your talk with: Images: include maps(s) Statistics diagrams Quotations Video clips Sound archives You will probably need more than one slide to illustrate your points. Simply insert more slides. Insertar  nueva diapositiva

Qualities / peculiarities Use a couple of adjectives well justified with examples from their life in your speech. Add other interesting information: what events shaped or changed this person’s life? What obstacles did he / she overcome? Did they have to take risks? Was this person lucky?, etc

Main works / achievements If your person is a painter / an author… you must also speak about his/her main works, of course, and show some images. If it is an explorer or a politician you should mention achievements, disasters, etc.

What if [NAME] hadn’t lived? SPECULATE Would the world be a better / worse / less interesting or fair place if this person hadn’t lived? How? Why?

Evaluating my work At this point you should briefly inform your audience of: What was difficult: retrieving / organising the information Writing a good presentation: grammar, specialised vocabulary, etc Memorising and rehearsing Delivering it, etc What are the most interesting things you learnt (see above) On the topic On writing it On preparing it On delivering it You might like to use a slide here or not. If not, simply delete it.

Credits You can list the resources you used here in a bullet list. State and list at least 3 sources Remember that textbooks are reliable sources as well. Don’t forget to thank your audience and the people who helped you. Don’t forget to invite people to make questions Tell them that feedback will be welcomed. It will be useful to improve your next presentation.
