As well as monitoring birds in gardens, BTO Garden BirdWatchers can submit records of other animals. The BTO shares this information with other organisations to make the best use of it for conservation. For example, mammals can be recorded. These sightings feed into the Tracking Mammals Partnership that track mammalian populations in Britain. Mike Toms 1

BTO Garden BirdWatchers can also submit records of butterflies (here a Holly Blue) in gardens. These sightings are shared with Butterfly Conservation. Records of Dragonflies are shared with the British Dragonfly Society. Mike Toms 2

Sightings of amphibians and reptiles (here a Common Toad) can also be recorded. This information is shared with Amphibian and Reptile Conservation. Mike Toms 3
