In the margin of your paper describe what you think causes day and night. Share your answer with a partner.
Station 2: Planet Earth – Day, Season, Year. The Earth’s Tilt Not only does the Earth rotate around the Sun every year, but the Earth spins in a circle.
 Earth moves in 2 ways: Rotation (spinning of the Earth’s axis) and Revolution (Movement of one body in space around another)  Earth’s rotation causes.
 What features does the Earth possess that distinguishes it from other planets?  How does Earth’s axial tilt cause seasons?  What causes the daily.
The moon orbits the Earth, as the Earth orbits the sun.
SUN, EARTH, AND MOON BY: Gavin and Tyler. What is the sun? The sun is a star that has balls of gas in it. The sun rises in the east and sets in the west.

Example Presentation: Planet Earth

A day on planet Earth: The day length is 24 hours (12 Hours of Day / 12 Hours in night) This changes seasonally The tilt is 23.5 Partner 1: The day length is 24 hours. This means that there are 12 hours of day and 12 hours of night. However, this can change seasonally because the tilt is 23.5 degrees which means that the sun hits the Earth differently at different times of the year, changing the amount of day/night that we receive. Partner 2: This diagram shows that the tilt is 23.5 degrees. It also shows how the sunlight hits the Earth differently because of the axial tilt – which causes season on our planets. We also labeled the Months that Each season occurs in.
