Merits of this Mechanism Results from above mechanisms: Typically 5 ITU-R WP 5D meetings are required for updating Recommendation. (2 year cycles) It is a almost same duration for GCS Proponents to update their GCS Smooth introduction to the market -> GCSs are quickly transposed into National / Regional Standards and readers of the recommendation can easily find those Similar Recommendation structure is also employed in Rec.
