Valrie Minson University of Florida Supporting Compliance, Discovery, and Access, through an Elsevier and Library Institutional Repository Pilot Valrie Minson University of Florida

Phase One Implementation using the IR@UF on the SobekCM Platform Coverage Metadata for over 31,000 articles by UF authors from 1949 forward Automated download of recent articles using APIs provided by Elsevier Links to ScienceDirect for access to the published articles Both open access (500+) and subscription articles included in search results

Phase two Embed accepted manuscripts (2013 forward) for recently published articles in UF@IR Provide an access option for users with or without a subscription Final published version for subscribing institutions Post-embargo accepted manuscripts for non-subscribers Discovery based on full text indexing Alleviate the burden of submission on UF researchers Facilitate compliance with public access mandates

Future Directions Perform usability testing Extend this collaboration to other publishers Extend Elsevier API testing to other repositories
