Technical drawings! Please update your TOC

Oblique Drawings The width is drawn as a horizontal line with the depth drawn at an angle.

Isometric Drawings The width is drawn at a 30 degree angle with the vertical lines perpendicular to the base of the object.

Orthographic! It shows all different views of the object. It will show a minimum of 3 up to 6 sides.

Perspective Drawings The way that objects appear to get smaller and closer together, the further away they are. One Point

Two point perspective There are two vanishing points…

A comparison… Oblique drawing Perspective Isometric drawing Orthographic drawing Oblique drawing Perspective

Orthographic projections Orthographic projections are 2-D, or flat, drawings of each side of an object. Orthographic drawings show the TOP, SIDE, and FRONT VIEW, some show ALL SIX SIDES of the object. Orthographic Projections

Orthographic Projections Orthographic drawings are very useful to engineers for communicating the dimensions of a design. Orthographic drawings show the dimensions of each side.

Drawing Game Partner with the person next to you. Build a shape and have your partner draw the orthographic projection. Switch! Start with three sides, then four, then five… Do this until each person has made 5 drawings (for a 10!)
