To be able to analyze the different parts of the short story in the form of a two-point paragraph and using the rubric as a guide. Point; Explanation; Example; Symbol

To know what a two-point paragraph is. Topic Sentence with 2 points Point 1 Explanation Point 2 Concluding sentence Point; Explanation; Example; Symbol

An example two-point paragraph: “Ride the Rocket” is a famous slogan that the Toronto Transit commission has used for years. The TTC these days has many serious problems they need to improve but the two biggest are the fare costs and the schedule. First, the TTC costs are constantly rising. It will soon cost more than $3.00 for a single trip on the TTC. It does not matter if you are going 500 metres or 30 kilometers: the price is the same. The TTC should put a system in place so people are charged based on distance. Second, the TTC is very inconsistent. Bus schedules do not mean anything and it is not uncommon to have to wait an extra 30 minutes in the winter for your bus. The TTC should try to plan better or get the city to use dedicated bus lanes. I love Toronto, but I do not love waiting outside in the cold for 40 minutes. If they are not going to fix the problems, the TTC should change their slogan to “Ride the Turtle”.
