The handkerchief To mantilaki
All the players, except one, sit on the ground, in a circular way, crossed –legged, keeping their hands behind them. One of them , called the ‘mother’, runs around the circle, holding a handkerchief in his/her hands and singing a song. ‘There goes the handkerchief, a girl is looking for it Where is it? Where is it?’
While singing around the circle, mother places the handkerchief behind a child and continues until the children realise that she no longer holds it. The child who finds the handkerchief stands up and starts chasing ‘mother’. When the child catches her she sits in the same place the child was previously sitting and the child becomes the new ‘mother’.
