Malaak , Injy and Leanne science Force and Motion

Force and Motion Motion is important to our lives and impacts so many things that we do.

Force and Motion Motion is the changing of position or location.

Force and Motion Motion makes the world go round.

Force and Motion  Pushing moves something in the direction of the push. The harder the push, the further the item goes. Pulling something has a similar action. The harder you pull, the faster something moves along.

Force and Motion  Pressure is force applied by weight.

Force and Motion Magnetism is a type of force. A magnet might pull an object toward it or push it away.

Force and Motion Physicists devote a lot of time to the study of forces that are found everywhere in the universe.

Force and Motion Don't forget that even if you appear to be standing still, the Earth is moving around the Sun, and the Sun is moving around our galaxy.

Force and Motion In order to really understand motion, you have to think about forces, acceleration, energy, work, and mass. These are all a part of mechanics.

Force and Motion If you were a ball sitting on a field and someone kicked you, a force would have acted on you.

Force and Motion If there is more than one force acting on an object, the forces can be added up if they act in the same direction, or subtracted if they act in opposition.

Force and Motion There is one totally important formula when it comes to forces, F = ma. That's all there is, but everything revolves around that formula. "F" is the total (net)force, "m" is the object's mass, and "a" is the acceleration that occurs.

Force and Motion A force that is applied to an object such as when a person moves an object from one place to another or pushes a button on the remote control is called applied force.

Force and Motion A force caused by two surfaces that come into contact with each other, is called frictional force.
