The Wandering Hunters of the Plains BY: BrIAn, ElaiNa, TiFFaNy, TIm

Where They Lived Stretched from the Mississippi River to the Rocky Mountains and from Canada to Texas.

How They Lived They Were Hunters

What They Wore Clothes made from the hide animals. Northern part of the region, they added deerskin shirts, leggings, and moccasins. Women wore dresses, leggings and sometimes beaded in beautiful colors.

3 Interesting Things About Their Culture 1) Women owned and built the teepees, gathered nuts, berries, and firewood and prepared food. 2) For Food, shelter and tools they used Alligator, Buffalo, Seal, Prairie dog, deer, wolf. 3) They grew crops such as maize, beans, and pumpkins, and usually dried their food in the sun to help preserve it for longer periods of time.
