Health Strategies Group Key Finding #1 1/17/2019 Health Strategies Group Stakeholder Actions to Influence Oncology Drug Use, Typically Interdependent, Potentially Conflicting Health plans, health systems, and oncology groups use various, potentially conflicting, tactics to influence oncology drug selection and site of administration. Oncology groups have the greatest influence on treatment selection, while health plan and health system influence varies widely across local markets. Compared to specialists in other treatment areas, oncologists are less likely to align treatment selection with health system and plan policies, increasing challenges to influence brand use.
