In accordance with the Katy ISD dress code as well as the elementary handbook, the following information does apply. For the safety and comfort of your child in PE, please have your child wear OR bring athletic shoes with a rubber sole, closed toe and full support around the heel. Flip flops, boots, open toed sandals, dress shoes, cleats, heelys, shoes with felt, Toms or Bobs and shoes with a strap across the back are hazardous and therefore not permissible. As well, it is important that girls wearing any type of dress or skirt wear shorts underneath. Your childs safety is a priority and we know you will help us, help them make safe shoe choices for PE in order to enjoy it to the best of their ability.

These shoes were made for RUNNING… Tie ShoesElastic Shoes TEKS 4.5, 4.5B and 3.5, 3.5B: Select and use proper attire that promotes participation and prevents injury.

And thats just what theyll do… Skinny Band Shoes Are allowed as long as the soles are made of rubber. TEKS K.5 and K.5B: Explain how proper shoes and clothing promote safe play and prevent injury.
