Plant Multi-celled Use energy from the sun to make sugars (photosynthesize) Examples: trees, flowers, ferns

Fungus Multi celled Absorb nutrients from other organisms (can’t photosynthesize) Examples: mushrooms, yeast, molds

Protist Single celled with a nucleus Examples: algae, amoeba
