Flash cards are a great way. You may also want to make letter cards and have your child build words with the letter cards. Kids may start to build a sentence with their cards. Ex. I see a dog Read every day! Monday Letter j sheet, color pictures that begin with /j/ sound -number pumpkins Tuesday Letter y sheet, color pictures that begin with /y/ sound -How many birds? Wednesday Letter x sheet, color pictures that begin with /x/ sound -fill in the 10 frame to match the crayon number Thursday Letter k sheet, color pictures that begin with /k/ sound -comparing sizes, circle the smaller the smaller, x the taller.
