Wilson Bentley Quotes By group 6 Athena, Leanne, Alexandra, Shi En

Quotes Under the microscope, I found that snowflakes where miracles of beauty; and it seemed a shame that this beauty should not be seen and appreciated by others. Every crystal was a masterpiece of design and no one design was ever repeated, when a snowflake melted, that design was forever lost. Just that much beauty was gone, without leaving any record behind. The snow crystals…come to us not only to reveal the wondrous beauty of the minute in nature, but to teach us that all earthly beauty is transient and must soon fade way. But though the beauty of the snow is evanescent, like the beauties of the Autumn, as of the evening sky, it fades but to come again.

Snowflakes These are a few snowflakes that Wilson Bentley photographed

Sayings "My collection [is] far superior in both number & beauty & I might add interest, to that of any other collection in the world...," Wilson A. Bentley. From: http://siarchives.si.edu/ "deeply grateful for your [Langley's] kindly help in thus placing my collection of snow photographs beyond all possibility of loss and destruction, through fire or accident."
