Getting Ready! Get organized in groups. Listen as the steps in the protocol are reviewed. (p. 24-25) EngageNY.org

Text Rendering Protocol Briefly review the Speaking and Listening Standards for your grade level. Briefly discuss what it looks like and sounds like when students are in classrooms working to meet these standards. Preview the graphic organizer. (p. 26) Select an article and read it individually. (p. 27-30) or (p. 32-33) or (p. 34-39) Each member discusses findings from the article that s/he read. EngageNY.org
