Plan – Do – Check - Act P-D-C-A PLAN 1. Identify the customers’ needs, and concerns and expectations 2. Select opportunities for improvement 3. Define the problems 4. Collect meaningful data 5. Identify root causes of problems 6. Develop appropriate solutions 7. Develop an improvement plan DO 8. Implement solutions CHECK 9. Monitor results and evaluate against the plan 10. Determine reasons for deviations from the plan ACT 11. Take action to correct any deviations 12. Standardise the process – make successful solutions permanent
