Be careful not to simply state a fact. Try not to write a formal statement. For example – “The elevators in the main building at the Art Institute are a significant cause of damaged projects and chronic lateness.”

The Thesis Statement Have you ever been played for a fool because you cared for someone by giving your trust, but while you were giving your trust, you were being taken advantage of? Well, it happens to the best of us. It is a hurtful experience that all of us have to face to mature into strong adults. So, we become stingy with our feelings and protect ourselves from the next person who might hurt us.

The Thesis Statement When I was about ten years old, my father brought home a 25-year-old mini-bike for my brother and me. The bike was in rough condition, but the reason he brought it home was so we could spend some time together fixing it up. We did have a good time together and eventually did get it running, but I learned a hard lesson the first time I rode it.

The Thesis Statement Kindergarten for me was a year of new experiences. It involved meeting other four year olds, who would either be my friends or my bitter enemies. Kindergarten was also a year of getting into lots of trouble, and facing hard penalties. In a way, it changed me and molded me into the person I am today. All those memories will stay with me.

The Thesis Statement Throughout my life, I have always been a fan of sports. During my high school years, I played them as well. Yet, out of all my varied sports experiences, one incident truly stands out in my memory – the incident known to my family and friends as the “Waterbury Roller Hockey Screw Job.”
