Comparative geometric analysis of renal artery anatomy before and after fenestrated or snorkel/chimney endovascular aneurysm repair  Brant W. Ullery, MD, Ga-Young Suh, PhD, Jason T. Lee, MD, Brian Liu, BS, Robert Stineman, BS, Ronald L. Dalman, MD, Christopher P. Cheng, PhD  Journal of Vascular Surgery  Volume 63, Issue 4, Pages 922-929 (April 2016) DOI: 10.1016/j.jvs.2015.10.091 Copyright © 2016 Society for Vascular Surgery Terms and Conditions

Fig 1 Renal branch angle, end-stent angle, and curvature. The branch angle was defined between the renal branch vector (from the ostium to the point 10 mm distal along the centerline) and cross-sectional plane of the abdominal aorta at the renal artery ostium. The postoperative end-stent angle was defined between proximal and distal vectors with respect to the distal end of the stent. The preoperative end-stent angle was computed by finding the imaginary end-stent point via the eventual stent length and deriving the two vectors with respect to that point. The curvature was defined as the inverse of circle of the circumscribed circle formed by three points spanning 10 mm. Fig 2 Three-dimensional models of the abdominal aorta and visceral arteries for pre- and postoperative F- and Sn-EVAR. For comparison, preoperative renal arteries (blue; right column) were coregistered to those postoperative (gray) with stents (red). Fig 3 Distribution of end-stent angle change (post- to preoperative) from the lowest to highest. The mean value was depicted as the gray dashed line for the SN-LRA (dark blue), SN-RRA (light blue), F-LRA (dark red), and F-RRA (light red).
