4 more wake ups before spring break! Please take out your English notebook and write down today’s learning target. Learning target: Support claims with evidence 3/31/14 “Having your adolescence at an all-male boarding school is just crap.” ~Benedict Cumberbatch

Agenda 3/31/14 Plan for the week Paper reminders Wrap up group work Reading time! Homework: For Tuesday: Read chapters 8-12 with “one quote and why you chose it/1 question an answer it” per chapter pattern **Quiz Tuesday over chapters 1-12 (open notes…good time to make sure your notebook is up to date!)

Plan for the week Monday: reading time Tuesday: Quiz over chapters 1-12, check reading assignment Wednesday-Friday: In Lab 100 working on SRP edits (Friday Mr. Corse will be here to sub for you!)

Paper Reminders If you got a proficient, and don’t want to resubmit, let me know! Make sure you bring something else to work on during our class time in the lab Remember, you just need to demonstrate evidence of improvement in the categories you were developing in on the green rubric. Don’t forget to add comments/track changes! Ask for help in class Wed./Thurs., and/or come to conference period Thursday in Lab 200 Due date is April 15th (Tuesday after Spring Break!)

Group work Take 15 minutes to wrap up gathering evidence, then be prepared to share your work under the doc cam (choose the group member with the best handwriting so we can read it!) Write one sentence on the bottom of your chart that makes a clear claim about the character that you can support with the evidence listed on your chart (try to be insightful)  End at 9:10

While listening to presentations: Record the claim about each of the other characters in your notebook. Jot down some of the best notes, or add your own insights as you listen.

Reading Time Time to read and work on your quote and question assignment! Remember, one quote (explain why you chose it), and one questions with answer per chapter Headphones are fine, but only for music use No playing around with your tech! Individual, quiet work time. Please no side conversations!
