Amendment 1 Freedom of Petition— Petition on Afghanistan Freedom of Petition— right to send a written document to an official requesting a change of some sort Writing a letter to legislator is a petition “Congress shall make no law abridging the right of the people…to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
