Key Term Plague- Any widespread and usually highly contagious disease with a high fatality rate.

Key Term Black Death- An outbreak of bubonic plague that spread throughout Europe and much of Asia in the 14th century.

Key Term Flagellants- Someone who whips themselves for religious discipline or public penance.

Key Term Population- All of the people who live in a certain region, city, or nation. 

Key Term Death Rate- A measurement of the number of deaths per 1,000 inhabitants of a given location.

Key Term Inflation- An economic term that generally means a rise in prices for most goods and services.

Key Term Urbanization- The movement of people from rural areas, usually called towns, to urban areas, which are called cities.

Key Term Textile- A piece of cloth that is produced by weaving, knitting, bonding, or felting.
