In simple English The hotter something is, the higher frequency of light it gives off. This is known as Wein’s Law It was the start of quantum physics

So we use their color to determine the temperature of way far away things BUT BE CAREFUL!! It’s the light it gives off, not the light it is reflecting or absorbing
