The prevalence of haemorrhagic stroke was highest in the USA, and lowest in Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, France, Eastern Europe, North Asia, and Russia. Mortality from haemorrhagic stroke was highest in Mongolia and Madagascar, and lowest in North America, most parts of Western Europe, Russia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.
