What are the four states of matter? Warm-Up Friday 9/8 What are the four states of matter?

Exit What is the state of matter that has a definite volume and a definite shape? Solid

How are temperature and kinetic energy related? Warm-Up Monday 9/11 How are temperature and kinetic energy related? Temperature means the average kinetic energy of a substance, or how fast the particles are moving.

Exit What is the most common state of matter in the universe? Plasma

Warm-Up Tuesday 9/12 Why do some objects sink and others float in water?  An object's density and its weight determine whether it will float.  Objects with density less than the density of water will float in water.  Objects that weigh less than the buoyant force will float.

Exit What happens when water boils? The molecules have enough energy not only to flow, but to break free of one another entirely.
