History Ancient people watched Venus for it’s beauty because Venus was a name of a person and the planet was named after a person. Venus got its name by Ancient Greek’s because an Aphrodite had a son named cupid.

Solar System Venus is the second planet away from the sun . Venus is 67 million miles away from the sun . It takes Venus 224.7 days to orbit around the sun . Venus rotates backwards and it rotates really slow.

Planet appearance Venus can appear white because of the clouds. If Earth had a twin it would be Venus. Venus has rocky gigantic volcanoes . Venus is piping hot . Venus has Sulfuric acid .
