JOAN MIRÓ Surrealism : - beyond reality in the world of dreams and nightmares - everyday objects - followers of André Breton, French poet who established the tenets of Surrealism MIRÓ: - simple lifestyle - worked in his studio in Palma de Mallorca to avoid Franco’s Spain - met with Picasso in Paris - whimsical , geometrical , very colorful design.
