Culture and Religious Fair Next Assignment 12/15 On Tuesday of next week we will be having a religious/cultural fair in our classes. Groups ( No more than 3 per group) will be responsible for creating a diorama of two religions. This project will require you to research and detail aspects of two religions and how the religions have permeated into parts of modern day culture. 1

Selection Criteria You must discuss at least 6 of the following categories for each of the religions you select. Geographic location Initial Spread and acceptance of this religion. Founders- Back ground information etc… Belief/message Holidays, rituals Current population of religion/ majority of demographics. Cost of interaction/ fashion that the interaction s took place. Controversies surrounding the religion (past or present). Growth or expansion of the religion over history. Challenges surrounding the growth of the religion.

Formulation of ComparitiveThesis B) In addition to researching and detailing the six categories found above, you will be held responsible for formulating a thesis paragraph explaining the similarities and differences between the two religions. This is a significant part of your grade (40%) so please send adequate time formulating this thesis.
