Power point by Sam and Anna All game. No pain? Power point by Sam and Anna

What We Think We think that if you are in pain, when you play a video game with intense focus then your brain will pay more attention to the video game. Forgetting the pain in the process.

materials Large bowl Ice cubes Thermometer Cold water Victim(s) Chair Towel Timer Video game Lab notebook Graph paper

The Procedure 1. Fill bowl with cold water and ice cubes 2. Put the bowl on the towel 3. Have victim sit in chair in front of ice water bowl 4. Have victim put heels on edge of the water bowl 5. When they put their toes in the water then start the timer simultaneously 6. Victim has toes in the water for as long as possible(3 minutes is max for safety).

Procedure continued 7. Have victim remove their toes when they cannot bear the cold any longer. stop the timer when they remove their toes 8. Record the time. 9. Do steps #3 through #8 except this time use a gaming console to distract the victim. 10. Analyze and compare results.(the times. 3 minutes maximum)
