Studying the Theme of Place “What is it like?”

Remember: When considering the theme of place, geographers want to know… What type of physical features does this area have? Look at the climate, the landforms, the vegetation, etc. They also want to know what type of human or cultural features there are? Look for dams, highways, houses, etc. Why do you think the description of a place may change over time?
