What is Fintrip? Transport and logistics competence and innovation network Work during 2012-2014 is financed by the consortium of financers: Ministry of Transport and Communications in Finland Finnish Transport Agency Trafi – Finnish Transport Safety Agency TEKES - the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation 18.1.2019

Operations of Fintrip are focused on: Enhancing collaboration among financers, providers and end-users of research in the field of transport and logistics - nationally and internationally Developing high quality research and competences in the selected fields of research in long-term – research excellence Facilitating innovation creation Providing knowledge support for decision-makers Improving communication especially on the results of applied research

Fintrip vision - Finnish Transport Research and Innovation Partnership - Developing competences - Facilitating innovation creation - Support for decision-making - Enhancing research - Leveraging information about the research and results International competence centres networks National financers Working groups: Development of activities 1) To fulfill information/kowledge needs of decision-makers; 2) to provide internationally high-level research in the selected fields; 3) to create services, innovations and business opoprtunities and 4) to leverage information about research. 18.1.2019 4

But how to get the different actors to cooperate efficiently? The climate changes and brings new challenges to the transport sector. Disruptions in traffic become more and more common, which demands patience from road users. These gloomy prospects may be alleviated with sensible adaptation and preparedness. For that, we need more accurate information on adaptation needs. Tools for planning adaptation measures are needed as well. Finnish enterprises, research institutes and government agencies have a great deal of competence to tackle these challenges. But how to get the different actors to cooperate efficiently? 18.1.2019
